CID Bio-Science, Inc. has been designing and manufacturing portable instruments for plant scientists in Camas, Washington, for over 25 years. In 2012, we launched a sister company, Felix Instruments – Applied Food Science, to provide the fresh produce industry with tools to manage post-harvest quality and shelf life. We are headquartered in Camas, WA, just outside of Portland, OR. Many of our instruments are used to detect gas levels in ripening rooms and storage warehouses.

We have recently acquired a leading firm in the industrial gas detection industry and have a key position available for a business development-minded Sales Engineer.

This is incredibly interesting technology utilized in a fascinating range of industries. Our products are used for varying purposes, from “sniffing volcanoes” to “sniffing rocket ships”.

Some of our customers are NASA, US Space Force, USGS, major aerospace companies, chemical manufacturers, and large medical facilities.

Opportunities in this field are vast.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
• Talk with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
• Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery
• Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
• Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
• Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production
• Help in researching and developing new products
• Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis

Qualifications

• Ability to integrate our products with those of other manufacturers to meet customer requirement
• Proven ability to prospect, qualify, cultivate, and close new business
• Proven track record of setting and achieving ambitious goals
• Experience generating and maintaining relationships with sales leads
• Ability to work within a healthy, team-based environment
• Domestic and International travel required multiple times per year

Salary and Benefits

Salary:

• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications: $75,000-$100,000
